Dato' 'Aliyah Karen
Dato’ ‘Aliyah Karen – “The pay it forward” lady
That’s how she is known by her circle of friends and associates as she is a
strong advocate for humanitarian work, education and training in Malaysia and abroad.
An MBA holder majoring in Human Resources management, she is a qualified trainer from US and HRDF Malaysia. Her forte is on SWOT analysis, essential skills and mentoring.
After two decades as the CEO of a non-profitable Foundation, where she successfully raised millions to support its’ causes and established a string of dialysis centres and a cardiac diagnostic centre, providing excellent patient care to underprivileged Malaysians, she embarked towards bigger challenges.
While many took a back seat during the pandemic, she has in 2020 co-
founded and is the Founding Chair of the Health on World Foundation (YHOW), established this social enterprise - AKRAB, advisor to the TULIPS Movement, while she continues to advocate for gender equality, woman’s growth, mental, emotional and physical well-being; all while she currently pursues her doctorate.
It’s no wonder she is frequently called in as a speaker, a judge, a mentor, a
trainer and now a consultant. In 2019, she was awarded the Woman’s Icon
Malaysia. (Berg Singapore), Inspiring Woman of Malaysia (Malaysian
Business and World leader businessperson (Biz Awards) and in
2020 she was named the Global Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysia ( GGA Foundation) and the Malaysia’s Woman Leader (CMO Asia & World Woman Leadership Congress).
Raja Azura Raja Mahayuddin
Raja Azura binti Raja Mahayuddin – the “Leader @ Heart”
She is an experienced, friendly and on the ground leader who is an avid believer that every individual have their own strengths to succeed and achieve their true potential. She is passionate about change and transformation especially on people related agenda as her personal interest is about quantum leaping the average joes’ to high performers. She is known as a transformer, an advocate for ‘underdogs’ and a motivator who sings her heart out while inspiring others.
With over 20 years of experience under her belt serving at various leadership positions in corporate and public sector, Azura aspires to continue making a difference by imparting her knowledge, experience, skills and wisdom to groom and advocate those who crosses her path. Her forte is on leadership, transformation, change management, corporate governance, strategic planning, engagement, auditing and human capital.
In 2019, after 7 years of serving as CEO of a foundation that has successfully groomed over 25,000 beneficiaries to realise their dreams and aspirations, Azura decided to pursue her MBA while serving as chairman, board member, advisor and mentor in formal and non-formal settings. Azura is making a turning point of her career being the co-founder of AKRAB, embarking on a new journey as a social entrepreneur.
Azura stands out as an inspiration to others who aspire to lead in the corporate and public sectors. She was conferred the Global HR Excellence Award by World HRD Congress in 2012, a recipient of the Inaugural Malaysia Women of Excellence Award for Quasi Government in 2014 and recognised as one the 2019 Influential Leaders Honorees by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) in 2019.
